Orthopaedic Surgery

Cruciate Ligament Surgery (TPLO, CCWO, TTA)

Cruciate ligament rupture is a common orthopaedic condition in dogs, causing knee instability, severe pain, and progressive arthritis. We offer Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), Closing Wedge Osteotomy (CCWO), and Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) to restore joint function and long-term mobility.

Lateral Suture Stabilisation (for Cats & Dogs)
For smaller pets and less severe cases of cruciate ligament injury, lateral suture stabilisation provides an effective alternative by securing the joint with a synthetic ligament, allowing natural healing.
Patella Luxation Surgery
Patella luxation, or a dislocating kneecap, can cause intermittent lameness, pain, and cartilage damage. Our surgical correction realigns the kneecap to prevent dislocation and restore stability.
Patella Groove Replacement
For cases where the kneecap groove is too shallow, this procedure creates a deeper, stabilised groove to ensure smooth joint movement and prevent future dislocations.
Pancarpal & Pantarsal Arthrodesis

For pets with severe joint disease or trauma, arthrodesis is a surgical procedure that permanently fuses the affected joints, eliminating pain and improving weight-bearing ability.

Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy (FHO)

FHO is a surgical option for hip dysplasia, severe fractures, or chronic arthritis. By removing the femoral head, the body naturally forms a pain-free false joint, allowing pets to regain mobility.

Hip Luxation Stabilisation
Hip dislocations, whether due to trauma or degenerative joint disease, require stabilisation to prevent recurrence. This procedure restores normal hip function and ensures long-term joint stability.
Sacroiliac Luxation Repair

Pelvic trauma can cause instability in the sacroiliac joint. Our repair procedure realigns and stabilises the pelvis to restore normal movement and weight distribution.

Ulna Osteotomy
Ulna osteotomy is performed to correct limb deformities, growth abnormalities, or joint incongruities, ensuring proper alignment and balanced weight distribution.
Fracture Repairs
Fractures vary in severity, requiring different surgical approaches:
Implant Removal Surgery

For pets experiencing irritation, discomfort, or complications from previous orthopaedic implants, we offer safe removal and post-operative support to ensure full recovery.

Soft Tissue Surgery

BOAS Surgery (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome)

Many short-nosed breeds, such as Bulldogs and Pugs, suffer from breathing difficulties due to narrow airways. BOAS surgery removes airway obstructions, widening nasal passages and reducing breathing resistance, greatly improving quality of life.

Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA)
TECA is a specialised ear surgery for pets with chronic ear infections, tumours, or severe ear canal disease. The procedure involves removing the entire ear canal, eliminating pain and the risk of recurring infections.
Anal Gland Removal Surgery

Persistent anal gland infections or blockages can cause significant discomfort. For pets with ongoing issues, surgical removal of the anal glands provides a permanent solution, preventing future infections and discomfort.
